- Brought existing development environment into synch with production
environment in SQL Server 7.
- Exported Sagent plans from production repository and imported
into development repository.
- Tested Sagent plans to make sure that there were no data quality
issues in development environment.
- Used SQL Server 7 DTS and SQL-DMO environment to synch structures,
stored procedures, and data between production and development
environments.

- Performed data quality assessments on the source tables to
be used to populate the new subject areas for Orders and Shipments.

and analysis of the structure and content of source data systems.

- Prototyped a VB COM component to dynamically manipulate a Business
Objects document to provide users with interactivity while still
outputting the document as html. Wrote ASP pages to input data
to the VB COM object and then to format the data returned from
the VB COM object.
- Designed Business Objects universes to provide access to data
mart as well as to custom designed tables created specifically
for Business Intelligence reporting
- Installed WebIntelligence 2.5 and debugged install process
on development and production NT servers and upgraded both servers
to WebIntelligence 2.6 upon version release.
- Documented logical and physical website structure using Visio
diagrams with accompany text annotation as to the logic surrounding
choices made during the analysis and design of the website.
- Documented the refresh process, including Business Objects
reports, running the VB executable and DTS job scheduling, necessary
to the operation of the executive dashboard for Business Intelligence
reporting.

Senior Systems Analyst July 1999-February 2000
Project lead for the Data Warehouse initiative of an integrated
delivery system. Designed, tested, and implemented a successful
decision-support database in Oracle based on a star schema model
to support the reporting needs of a health plan. Populated the data
warehouse utilizing a combination of Sagent extraction/transformation
plans and PL/SQL programming scripts. Wrote complex Sagent and SQL
plans to transform, scrub and re-code insurance claims data for
government reporting. Documented the steps necessary to extract
data and populate the data warehouse utilizing project plans and
Visio flowcharts. Created Sagent and Cognos OLAP cubes to report
to executives from the data mart. Prototyped, designed, and implemented
an intranet site for on-line analytical processing access to data
available within the data mart. Served as data modeling resource
on next data warehouse subject area. Taught colleagues how to utilize
ERwin while modeling the requirements for the Patient-centric data
mart.
Systems Analyst July 1998- July 1999
Data modeler on a data warehouse initiative to support the decision-making
capabilities of a health plan within an integrated delivery system.
Synchronized the data model and SQL Server 6.5 database for an Operational
Data Store using the ERwin CASE tool then changed the model from
the IDF1X modeling methodology to the IE methodology, inserted verb
phrases for managing relationships, and renamed indexes according
to a data modeling policy. Documented the scope of the initial effort
for the data mart and lead the meetings related to gathering requirements.
Designed the star schema for the health plan data warehouse using
the ERwin CASE tool's dimensional modeling schema and forward-engineered
the model into an Oracle database. Authored the policy statement
regarding the development of data models, both transactional and
dimensional, using ERwin CASE tool. Utilized ERwin to reverse-engineer
source databases from FoxPro and Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0
for data profiling and field mapping into the data mart. Taught
two classes in HTML to colleagues. Attended training for Sagent,
Oracle, and MapInfo as well as a Project Management class, a Data
Warehousing and OLAP conference, and a Data Management conference.

Original website designed by myself. The site is devoted to providing
links of interest to nurses in the field of Maternal-Child Health
Nursing. Graphics were obtained as per a linkware agreement and
the site adheres to the principal of giving credit where credit
is due. The site was coded entirely by hand using Notepad, no other
HTML generators or WYSIWYG editors were used. The site is in the
process of getting a makeover utilizing new navigation methods,
and new means of information presentation.

This website is designed to provide linkware graphics for amateur
website designers and others not graphically inclined. All of the
graphics displayed on the website were designed by the author using
Paint Shop Pro. The site is published and maintained with WebMasterPro
and has been updated with Macromedia Dreamweaver. The site demonstrates
the wide range of graphics available for navigation panels and demonstrates
the advanced elements of drop down/fly out menus. Also, the site
illustrates different forms of photo/image manipulation available
to enhance presentation on websites.
